Can I lay the floor on soil or grass?

Yes, our floors can be placed on compacted soil or grass however a hard, flat surface must be placed underneath first to ensure the patented interlocking technology remains securely locked for the duration of the event.

In the case of uneven surfaces or a lush surface you are recommended to find a suitable sub-surface to place under the floors or our modular floor could become uneven and might interfere with or inter-locking system not working correctly.

Are the floors suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, our industrial strength floors are engineered to be 100% weather-proof and can be used outdoors in partially shaded areas or for short durations only. We do not recommend laying a floor in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

Is a floor easy to install or should I hire a professional?

The beauty of a SnapLock dance and event floor is that it is completely modular so you can DIY install – no tools or training needed. With its patented “Step-N-Snap” design, you’ll find installation a breeze! Visit our installation page to view a demo.

Can Exhibit Flooring install my floor?

We offer an installation service to customers based in the Melbourne metropolitan region for a small additional fee. Please enquire at the time of order.

Is removal easy too?

Yes, simply dismantle the modular floors after use, stack the floor panels on top of each other and store away for next time, or transport them to the next event using an Exhibit trolley (which doubles as a handy storage unit!)

Do the floors need to be maintained?

All Exhibit Flooring tiles feature a commercial grade top and are resistant to most types of spills and stains. The tiles are designed to be low maintenance and will not warp, peel, crack or require resurfacing.  Just clean and re-use.

How much of my floor can I customise?

All our floor tiles feature interchangeable panels so you can mix’n’match different colours, finishes and patterns to create a unique design. Exhibit Flooring can also create custom colours, patterns and finishes for your occasion, and incorporate logos or other corporate branding in to your design for a truly bespoke floor. How long does it take to design a bespoke floor?

It varies from 3-6 weeks, depending on the level of customisation. This is why we recommend that, as a first step, you contact us so that we can work with you to create the perfect floor with minimal delay.

Is there a minimum quantity on custom orders?

To purchase from our custom collection exclusive to Exhibit Flooring or design a bespoke floor we require a minimum order of approx. 6m x 6m . A minimum order amount does not apply to our signature SnapLock range which can be ordered in smaller sizes.

Do I need edging around my floor?

Our bevelled edging is optional but we recommend adding it to the perimeter of your floor for a polished and professional look and avoiding any trip hazards is highly recommended.

What is a pre-packaged flooring kit?

Our pre-packaged flooring kits are available in the our most commonly sold floor sizes and contain the exact number of tiles and edging required to make a dance or event floor for the selected dimensions. 

Can I customise a pre-packaged floor?  

No, our pre-packaged floors are designed to be purchased off the shelf and cannot be customised. To create a custom floor please contact us for a quote.

How do I place an order?

To purchase a pre-packaged flooring kit simply visit our website and select the item you want. Then follow the prompts to finalise your order. For custom orders, please call us on 03 9303 9051 or send us an email for a personalised quote.

Can I see a sample tile before ordering a floor?    

Sales representatives are available for consultation to Melbourne based clients and showroom features tile samples for viewing by appointment only. For interstate customers Exhibit Flooring can mail a sample tile for a small fee. Contact us to find out more.

Do I have to register an account to purchase online? 

No, but we do recommend creating an account for faster checkout for future orders, the ability to save multiple shipping addresses, and to view and track orders.  

What payment methods can I use? 

We accept Mastercard and Visa and Bank Transfer for all over the phone or online purchases. Any custom orders require a 50% deposit and this can be paid for via credit card or bank transfer. Contact us for more information.  

What is the delivery process and are there fees involved?

If I am unhappy with my floor set can I return it?
